FaceLoop — Support
FaceLoop finds the smiles and laughs in the videos already on your iPhone or iPad and turns each one into a short loop you can share.
Getting started. Open the app and allow access to your photo library. FaceLoop scans your videos on your device; loops appear as videos are scanned. A large library can take a while the first time — you can keep using the app meanwhile, and the scan continues where it left off.
No loops yet? FaceLoop needs videos with people's faces that are large enough to look sharp. If you gave access to selected photos only, the app can see only those; you can change this in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › FaceLoop.
Quotes on the loops. Speech in each clip is transcribed on your device and its first line is shown in quotes. This needs Speech Recognition access and Siri & Dictation turned on, and works in the languages you have added to your device. You can turn it off or change the quote size in FaceLoop › Settings › Speech. iOS's permission prompt says speech data "will be sent to Apple"; that is Apple's fixed wording for every app, and FaceLoop uses only on-device recognition, so your audio stays on your device.
Exporting. Open a loop, choose Loop or Boomerang and how many times it plays, and tap Export Video or Export GIF. Exports start on the peak moment, so their thumbnail is the best frame. The location where the video was filmed is removed by default.
Privacy. Everything happens on your device; nothing is uploaded. See the privacy policy: https://noboxart.com/faceloop-privacy
