What is EmojiMotion?

EmojiMotion turns a text message that contains a face emoji into an animated GIF where your words and the emoji act out the emotion. You can send it straight from Messages or copy it to use anywhere.

How to use it

1. Open EmojiMotion — or, in the Messages app, tap the apps ("+") button and choose EmojiMotion.
2. Type a line that includes a face emoji, for example: Hello 😄
3. The preview animates your phrase. A line with no supported emoji stays still — add a face emoji to start the animation.
4. Tap Done to copy the GIF, or Insert (in Messages) to drop it into your conversation, then press Send.

Tips

• Fonts: tap the Aa control to choose from hundreds of fonts; tap the heart to favorite one.
• Animations: tap Animation to pick a different motion for the emoji.
• Undo: reverses your last change (text, animation, or font).
• Settings: turn options on or off, including whether you type directly in the animation window.

Privacy

EmojiMotion works entirely on your device. It collects no data, has no account, and does not connect to the internet.
